Our-State-of-the-Art facility was specifically designed to ensure the safety and integrity of the stem cell samples we collect. All stem cell samples will be processed in our GMP laboratory, registered with the FDA and held to higher standards than most other cord blood labs.

Quality control and assurance procedures are in place providing standards for monitoring equipment, air quality and particle counts to maintain the safety and integrity of samples. The Scientific Director of LifeSource is a Cellular Biologist. Due to his contribution to research and publications in medical journal and books, he is recognized as an authority in stem cells. He was the first in the world to describe the presence of certain stem cells in umbilical cord blood.

LifeSource is directly linked and co-owned by a Research and Development company initiating ground-breaking, innovative new stem cell therapies.

Our freezers are NOT dependent upon electricity and may be manually filled with liquid nitrogen.

We utilize a unique tracking software system that keeps our samples perfectly matched to the donor from collection to long-term storage.

A 24-hour alarm system is in place to detect and notify our team of even a slight variance in temperature control any time of the day or night. Staff will remain immediately available. Freezers remain in a secure, locked area with limited access by personnel. All computerized files will be maintained in a secure and confidential manner with off-site back-up storage.

LifeSource is located within a hospital building with back-up generator power.

Private tours of our facility are welcome.

For our Local clientele we offer a personalized courier service specially trained for the safe transport of your baby’s cord blood directly back to our facility. This service includes the Greater New Orleans area, Metairie, Baton Rouge, Covington, Mandeville, Hammond and Slidell, La.

For clientele outside of our local area we provide specially designed cord blood kits that may be sent airborne to our facility for processing and storage at LifeSource.
